State Barrier Fence

State Barrier Fence

M & M Rural Fencing was contracted by the Department of Food and Agriculture to install a prefabricated lap wire to the existing State Barrier Fence. This extension is to prevent wild dogs from migrating into the agricultural regions of WA.

The length of the contract is 520km, starting at Lake Moore (mile marker 520) and concluding at Zuytdorp Cliffs, North of Kalbarri (mile marker 1).

Our contract involved, grading and clearing of trees and shrubs on the entire Eastern and Northern side of the fence. Which allowed access for install and also insures the wire is installed with the least amount of hindrance.

The lap wire is then rolled out and strained to angled pickets. The wire is then clipped to the bottom of the existing fence every 2.5mts using the top and 2nd top wire of the lap wire.

Completion time Nov 2012 - Jan 2013.
